About Contemplative Outreach San Diego
Our primary purpose is to teach the method of Centering Prayer and to offer support and spiritual enrichment to those who practice Centering Prayer.
We offer Centering Prayer workshops, retreats, and formation programs. Events and workshops are designed to present the richness of the Christian Contemplative Heritage in a contemporary and accessible format.
COSD is served by an ecumenical lay volunteer membership. We are fully supported by the generosity of our members.
The heart and soul of COSD is the network of Centering Prayer groups who regularly gather to support each other.
- While we are formed by our respective denominations, we are united in our common search for God and the experience of the living Christ through Centering Prayer.
- We affirm our solidarity with the contemplative dimension of other religions and sacred traditions.
Contemplative Outreach of San Diego is one of more than 120 Chapters in 39 countries around the world formed by Contemplative Outreach Ltd, an international spiritual network that provides support and resources for those of us committed to the practice of Centering Prayer.
